Dental aesthetics is the branch of dentistry that deals with the rehabilitation of aesthetics and functionality of the maxillary system.
Providing aesthetic restorations implies compliance with certain rules: observing the midline with the facial midline, compliance with the proportion of facial floors, the shape of teeth must be in harmony with the face shape, the incisal edge must be parallel to the edge of the lower lip in the smile, etc. These include photographic analyses of the patient as well as providing an individualized treatment plan.
